I Miss My Father   If my father were alive today, he would be 103 years old this year; the very same age of my “Auntie” who raised my mother.  However, my father died when he was 82 years old, and 21 years later I still miss him very much.  He had a different way of showing how much he loved all...

Durango Mystery House for Sale I have been selling Durango real estate for a long time and I have to admit I’ve never marketed a property quite like this.  Should I Purchase a Fixer-Upper? Many times, home buyers give some thought to whether or not they should purchase a fixer-upper home.  This will certainly depend on the market that you are in, but if you are doing your Durango real estate search or Bayfield real estate search, that is a question...
Looking for that great piece of Durango real estate near Lake Nighthorse in the Shenandoah or Trappers Crossing area?  Then look no further, because here it is.  Spectacular top-of-the-mountain property with tons of Ponderosa pine trees, acres of flat land on which to build adjoining Ute land an...
About 10 days ago I got into a lengthy conversation with my brother who lives back in Michigan regarding real estate.  He wanted to know what were the 6 or 8 most essential questions a buyer should be asking of their Realtor when they start narrowing down their search to specific areas in the cou...

43+ years of successfully selling Durango Colorado real estate certainly qualifies me as having seen just about everything. There have been funny moments "What do you mean you're going to cash my earnest money check?" And there have been serious moments where we completed a short sale just hours before the foreclosure sale was to occur. My greatest satisfaction comes from knowing that we have the expertise and are able to help those people in what is usually the largest financial transaction of their life. One of our clients once said "We sure are glad that you were at the helm of the ship steering our transaction. A little gray hair behind the ears of the 'captain' sure made these passengers feel safer."
