To keep everyone informed of my projects and how they are going.  Well two days ago, we removed the old rotten stiars that were made out of wood and sitting on top of the driveway, on the opposite side of where we built the stairs in stone. Then we loaded a pane van and went to the dump.  OMG - w...

Living in Canada, on the west coast, it is starting to be that time of year where the heat goes out the holes, cracks, doors, windows, etc. if you live in an old house.  So, what better time than to start thinking about blowing in some insulation to help lower our Carbon-Footprint and lower our e...

Hello All, it is winter, well almost.  It is a really windy day here, the trees are stretching like we do in an intermediate yoga class and holding on with all their might. Yesterday was a hard day of labor.  We cut out 2' x 30' of 3" of ashphalt and concrete on the driveway in order to build ste...

Today is one of the days of the continuing saga of the Neighbor from you know where.  I still haven't provided the letter to end the use of property permission granted, but today I got a call from the Ministry of Highways accusing me of putting stuff on their right of way, which they have not use...

Yesterday was one of the days where you are rushing to get everything done out in the garden before the rains and the temperature falls and it is truly the end of the garden season. My helper worked so hard today, I almost felt guilty, but then again, he is 30 years younger and I do pay him well....

Well everyone, first of all, I guess I should not call my neighbor crazy, even if she appears to be making outrageous decisions, so I retract the word crazy and replace it with annoying.  Please accept my correction. Also, are there any Canadian realtors out there on activerain.  Almost everyone ...

What I really want to say to everyone is thank you to all the people that offered suggestions and information. I would love to hear from a real estate lawyer in Vancouver BC that knows the easement law. If anyone knows of a good one please let me know. The picture from Carla was so inspiring I th...

The responses and offers have been fantastic.  Thank you to everyone.  Anyone that wrote I really appreciate your information, and your sense of humor.  I loved to hear that I was not the only one with these problems, and it scares me to think I may have more problems.  I have already seen one pl...

Thoughts and updates. Things I see, hear and voice. Perhaps someone is sharing the same, or looking to see if someone else other than them is going through the same things. Perhaps a point of view that was never considered. Perhaps a tip or idea that makes life, work or family better. Who knows, let's wait and see what develops. It will be big and there will be lots of fun and interesting things happening. Keep watching.
