Pictured above are avocado trees in bloom.  As we drove along Foothill Rd, you could see the yellow blooms, and on the hillsides, it looked like fall was in the air in May.  The leaves above the blooms are red as you can see in the picture below. Avocado trees have an unusual pollination system....
