That's right, San Francisco has a new 'HUB' for emergency services - it's called SF72. (www.sf72.org) We all need to know what to do in the case of a city wide emergency, and here the focus is on earthquakes. Everything is different now than it was during the last 'big one' in 1989. Emergencies a...

I've been following this event all day, watching it unfold. From the beginning when he roared out of the Batcave in Union Square in the Lamborghini Batmobile, to the end of the day when he received the Key to the City from Mayor Ed Lee. Along the way he rescued a damsel in distress, captured the ...

West Portal is part of the Taraval Police District 4, the largest district in San Francisco. There are 10 districts in all. The Taraval District extends from Golden Gate Park south to the City / County line, and from the West of Twin Peaks on the east to the Pacific Ocean. It's the tan area on th...

I just returned from visiting a potential condo listing in the Marina District of San Francisco. Built in 1991 after the 1989 earthquake, this building should be very safe. I don't have any photos, other than my memories. I didn't have a camera with me and cell phones were too primitive. Imagine all the photos we would have if something like that happened today........

I live and work in San Francisco's West Portal Village. It is a great place to be, like a suburb in San Francisco's west side - which it is! When the Twin Peaks streetcar tunnel was opened in 1918 it finally connected Castro and Market to West Portal Avenue and Ulloa Street on San Francisco's wes...

I was at a signing for my client this morning in Vallejo. BTW, every time I drive across the new Bay Bridge - what a beautiful thing! My seller was very happy. Time for her to move on.  This evening I was looking at Yahoo highlights and found a link to Sir Paul McCartney's concert at Yahoo Screen...

A few months ago I wrote a blog post title Active Rain Put Me on TV! Allen Martin, a reporter and Anchor for our local CBS station KPIX5 had found me on Active Rain and wanted to hear my views on Air Rights. He couldn't have been a nicer guy, and he made me feel very comfortable.  Almost two mont...
