My only concern is that I feel the information getting watered down as the same
is being presented on Active Rain sessions, Market Leader and others.
It was Nice when IMSD was unique and our membership then had more value.

I went through the IMSD designation course online about 18 months ago. Their courses on social media, SEO, lead capture, etc. were good, but these days there are a plethora of ways to get the same information. Plus, it seemed a lot of the training was done through the lens of the MarketLeader platform. I did not really see any tangible "benefit" of attaching the IMSD to my name; I cannot say that it gained me any additional business. In my opinion, the entry price and annual renewal fees are a little steep for this.

I took the IMSD class, I consider myself on the 'techy' side. Almost leading edge. I like to know what's coming and what's the next big thing. I was hoping for 'higher' learning from the IMSD training.
While the classes were good, they weren't great. Numerous times I spent the time doing the class, doing the home work, and wondering, "WHY? I'm already doing this. I already know this.
That being said, if you're new to technology and need some assistance getting Facebook, Twitter, Blogs set up this may be the training you need. I was hoping for more.

I am not a big fan of designations as a whole. I think they provide little value to an agent. This designation, however, is packed with lots of valuable information if your goal is to develop an internet presence. The session are done through webinars once a week. So, you can easily do them from the comfort of your office or home. The sessions are recorded so if you miss one, it is easy to catch up. Be prepared for a lot of work as they give homework every week to get you going on building your internet presence over time. Some suggestions may included purchasing Google Ads or FB ads. These are not required. You can always do these things later as time and funds permit. While it is valuable information, it is a little pricey. Be sure to take the free classes offered through ARU prior to completing this designation.

IMSD offers a ton of information about internet marketing for real estate agents. I've learned about everything from Yelp, Google+, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, and oh yeah Pinterest too.
I haven't finished the designation, but I'm not worried about that because of the amount of knowledge I have gained. I consider myself an advanced social media user but you know what? There is always something to learn whether it's a simple how-to or a question about strategy.

If you would like to know more about how to take your business to the next level on the internet, then this is the course for you.The material in this course sucked me in. I was so enthralled with it. The information was well presented and easy to understand.
There is nothing I didn't like about this course. I loved it all. I think I went through the entire course in less than a month during a very busy time for me. I was that addicted to the material. I highly recommend this course, and the things you learn can also be applied to just about any other business.

It's a lot of information, so it could take several days to weeks to finish it. I finished it rather quickly because I was so interested in the content. Take this course and you won't regret it.
