Just one star? Usually, I am a bit of a liberal when I review the products and they get an extra star from me - just for being there! Now one star for this product means something - utility of the product! I somehow have a fax machine at home as well as at the office - and I think when was the last time I sent a fax to someone or received a fax from someone? And I go blank! That's where the one star - from the utility point of view for this product. When I re-review the product itself, this may go up, perhaps.

This review is on a positive note for HelloFax/HelloSign.
At times I have seen some rigid requirements to fax the documents, be it offer, any other agreement or so.
very well said by their marketing team --
Even if you can't get rid of faxes, you can get rid of your fax machine!
This is the time when this service is really handy.

This is surely an old technology - and it still exists!
There are business cards which has not only phone numbers and email address but also fax numbers.
Many of them could be virtual fax numbers - which are received by the received as an email - or an email attachment.
This is where HelloFax comes into picture.
A paperless solution - and also a fax machine less solution - for receiving the faxes.
Good one - and one should try.

"Even if you can't get rid of faxes, you can get rid of your fax machine!
By removing paper from the process, HelloFax has removed your need to own a fax machine. With HelloFax, everyone in your company can conveniently send and receive faxes online. There's no more time spent waiting by a fax machine for a fax to arrive or for confirmation that it was sent. Instead, incoming faxes go directly to the recipient's inbox and outgoing faxes are sent online, all from your computer. No fax machine needed!" While all the preceding is accurate - and paperless electronic faxing is the way to go these days - this company likely struggles for clients due to their pricing model. For the same features that Online Faxes (now part of eFax) offers for $7 per month, Hello Fax charges $20 per month. The platform is reliable - the pricing makes it a struggle for them to compete.

Hellosign is a wonderful company but it is expensive. There are cheaper alternatives. If you are a casual user like me, you don't want to spend big bucks on this software. I use www.skysignature.com for only $1 per month. They have a free version also but it only allows up to 20 documents stored, either way it's a bargain.

This service is extremely buggy. When it works, it's good but there are too many times when it simply does not. Forget about customer service, there is no such thing. Emails are not responded to for days if at all and if you are resourceful enough to find a contact number deeply entrenched on the web, you'll get an voicemail and no return call. I relied on their service to send time sensitive documents to clients and employees and they royally screwed me. Their blatant dismissal of my extremely urgent situation is absolutely horrid. They seem to be run by a single guy who rolls into work whenever he wants and may or may not assist you when you need customer service and believe me, YOU WILL need it with this product!

HelloFax began in 2010 and is a fine product that eliminates the need to print, sign and scan documents. It's a paperless office. You can send and receive faxes from anywhere, anyplace, anytime. No need for printers, scanners, fax machines, or PDF editors with Heliofax. They have a free plan to get you started and a host of other fine plans to meet your needs. This is a fine company with leaders at the helm commanding an impressive array of credentials. I think you'll like this application. You should spend a little time visiting their webpages.

Hellosign was going to start limiting their free version and was offering a discount to anyone that signed up for their pro service for a year. Apparently, they were in beta mode before. They needed to stay there.
Everything worked great until I signed up for a paid account. Somehow, my paid account was attached to another email address I use, not the email address I logged into Hellosign with (though it was the one I used as a "reply to" when sending out docs needing signatures.
When I attempted to contact customer support, 1st, there was no easy way to find a method to contact them (not prominent on the website). At the "contact us" page, there is only an option to email with no phone number. Maybe fine for a free product, but a paying customer may want to actually speak to a person.
I emailed them to call me ASAP. Instead, we played email tag for over 12 hrs for what could have been a 5 minute phone conversation.
In the end, after they "determined" first that it was my issue and then that maybe it was theirs but I would have to cancel my subscription and resubscribe under my preferred email, I told them that I expected them to fix the issue or cancel my service. They chose to cancel.
It's a decent alternative to DocuSign, but they definitely need to do some major upgrade but to their product support and to their customer service if they expect paying customers to be happy with them.

If you have a lot of papers to sign, might not be the best product due to need for signature/initial placement which is done manually.
