It used to be a good service from Google. Free and about 15GB of storage on Google Drive, to best of my knowledge.
However, things are dynamic at Google - and this service does not exist anymore.
The new name is ' Google Photos'!
Google have decided to retire Picasa in order to focus on a single photo service in Google Photos – a new, smarter photo app that works seamlessly across mobile and the web.
Your 'stuff' is still there, after all it is Google, isn't it?

Professional Photography is key in real estate marketing. The purpose of marketing is to get buyers to go to the property and walk through the front door. The best way to do this is to have a pristine, sparkling, property, staged to the nines, and showcased by a professional photographer. Add the photos to a virtual tour and broadcast over the web to the widest possible Buyer audience. A 5 star requirement!

Okay, it's free, enough said.
Seriously, I have used 3 or 4 different photo editing programs through the years. This is by far the best. It does everything I need and more. Sure, Photoshop is out there but seriously, that program is overkill in my opinion.
If you have the right camera, lens and staging know-how, there should be little post processing on your images. The little work they do need, Picasa does easily and effectively.

Picasa is very user friendly and easily imports photos for album storage and manipulation. Cropping is made very easy as well as resizing. Picasa is very accessible to users and the learning curve is very short. I highly recommend this software for almost anyone!

Picasa is a great photo editing software application from the good people at that little company known as Google. Google Plus, to be exacting. Picasa, as if you didn't already know by now, is a play on the name "Picaso". Pablo Picasso that is. Perhaps because you can do some things to your photos that fall within the realm of the surreal. With Picasa you can edit and share your photos throughout this wide world of ours with Google plus. Be patient with it and it will serve you well.

This product works well for organizing and sharing photos. Like google docs, you can make albums public or grant access selectively. Like most photo software, it does want to become your application of choice for anything with a photo extension. If you use a lot of Google products/applications, this is probably a better fit.

I started using Picasa after a friend recommended it to me. Beyond basic photo enhancement, Picasa offers quite a few photo editing choices including adding text and frames, resizing, and more. It is easy to use and I particularly like the variety of collages that one can make in Picasa. There is one thing that I don't like about Picasa and that is that it wants to pull in ALL photos that reside on your computer. To me that is not only annoying but also unnecessary as I do not want nor need to edit every single photo in my photo database. Frankly, I also don't understand how it files photos after they are in Picasa, it's a bit of mystery to me. For this reason, I'm giving it only three stars.

Most realtors use a PC for business. But for those small percentage of us who swear by Mac computers, the apps available are just as good as those offered by other companies.
The problem is unless you are a Mac user you may not realize you have a choice for professional apps that compare to PC choices.
Anymore, you can access many of these apps through "cloud" subscriptions which can be friendly toward both Macs and PCs. Lucky for us!
Think of a professional quality software that has the look and feel of iPhoto. My husband has created all the listing presentations using Aperture - the latest version is 3.4.5
The cost compared to other programs is very reasonable and you can add plug-ins that will enhance features (you need) that may be lacking. We use a fisheye plugin and special color enhancing plug-in and separate Green Screen software. Preview (comes with a Mac) is also used for screenshots.
Raw images work with this as well as other photo formats.
