I have a Dell Studio XPS and it runs and runs and is quiet. I have never had a problem with it in the 3 years I have had it and it is my working tool. My feeling is to buy the fastest, best, most memory when you get one because they last longer that way. What I mean is that every application that comes out uses more resources and memory and it will stay current if you buy close to the top of the line.
