I have had several HP's over the years and this one makes me lean closer to a Mac still. It hasn't gone into it's freezing stage...yet and the battery life is acceptable after replacing it with the oversized one. It actually runs a bit cooler with the body perched up on the battery now. My biggest complaint is the WIFI cutting in and out and always when you need it most, but that is always the case... yes? I am tempted to just pick up a generic unit at Fry's, much cheaper and see what the result is before moving to a MAC.
