Market Leader websites are by far one of the best lead capture websites on the internet for real est... more Market Leader websites are by far one of the best lead capture websites on the internet for real estate agents mainly because the site was designed by marketing people and NOT graphic artists. If you look at the lay out of the website you will see that the very first spots the eye hits when it comes on the landing page is set up with Home Search lead capture tools. They do not waste a ton of space at the top of the page with over sized banners and pictures. The essential things you must be able to do on a real estate website to convert traffic is to identify the markets you work with individual landing pages for each location and get the home search tools as far up on the page as possible. Look at how Market Leader lines all the cities and communities you add along the left hand column making it easy to navigate and see what areas this site specializes in. The guest book log in settings are also good with people not having to log in until after finding 2 listings they like and then saving the search info. Guest book log in settings are super important for getting conversion and where they are set greatly increases or decreases how many leads you get. Basically as a person who has worked for real estate website companies and also worked on thousands of sites I have one basic rule of thumb for a primary agent lead capture website and that is "If it does not work in Pay per click", aka Google Adwords then it probably is not that good. This site can be turned on with a flip of a switch and immediately produce leads with ppc marketing. I do not sell websites and have 0 affiliation with this company but I do respect the thought process that went into this from smart marketing people to make it simple and functional for lead capture. The biggest failure of most real estate website companies is that these is no interaction between marketing people and graphics arts people in the template designs and thus the large number of agent templates are designed for looks and not for functionality. I very much like this product - the $150 a month is a bit on the high side for price for hosting fees and hopefully that can be reduced a bit in the future but at least you have a good working product.

I've had this product less than one month so I am still learning about all the features. I switched ... more I've had this product less than one month so I am still learning about all the features. I switched to a Market Leader website because I found myself needing contact management software and drip email marketing/campaigns. Market Leader offers a very affordable package, including the IDX website, and so far I'm impressed with the campaigns and contact management aspects. They are exactly what I was looking for. I switched from an iHouse IDX website and I must say that at this point, I feel that I had to sacrifice several IDX features in order to gain contact management and campaigns. There is no subdivision drop-down menu in the search options. Sure, website visitors can manually enter the subdivision name but if they don't enter it exactly as it appears in the MLS, they get zero results. For example, if someone is searching for homes in the River Rim neighborhood, they would have to enter it as RiverRim. There is also no search my map feature. Sure, the prospect can perform a search and then view the listings on the map, but that's not the same and it's not immediately obvious that it's available. I also wish the prospect could narrow their search by area/section of town. The city I work in, Bend, Oregon, has 2 distinct areas, east side and west side. It's further broken down to NW, SW, NE, and SE. Buyers usually know whether they want to be on the west side or the east side. I can search that way in the MLS and clients could search that way on my iHouse website, but it's not an option on the Market Leader website. If they pull up the map, they'll be able to see where the houses are located but they might not just by looking at addresses. Overall I think I'll be happy that I made the switch. I think you have to look at it as a complete system for lead generation, contact management, and lead follow-up. The customer service has been fantastic so far. I swear they must recognize my number on their caller ID by now! If they would include a subdivision drop-down menu option and/or allow website visitors to search by area, I think I would be thrilled with the Market Leader IDX website.
