Gold Beach is a special place to call home. 

Our coastline is spectacular with rock studded beaches and miles of open beaches to explore. State parks along the Southern Oregon Coast are perfect for enjoying a day at the beach. 

Wilderness areas surround the community with several wooded hiking trails in the Siskiyou National Forest, the Oregon Coast trail and are famous Rogue River trail.

Our community is a small coastal town with less than 2000 people living within the city limits.  Gold Beach is the county seat for Curry County and the only hospital in the county is located right here in Gold Beach.   

We are part of "America's Wild Rivers Coast" where the famous Rogue River meets the Pacific Ocean. 

There is something for everyone here on the Southern Oregon Coast.  Quiet uncrowded beaches, exciting jet boat rides, vast wilderness areas, fishing streams & rivers, bird & whale watching, golfing, surfing & kayaking, ocean charter fishing, horse back trail riding, and beach-combing galore.  Come visit Gold Beach and see why some people say it's the best little town in Oregon.  The fresh ocean air breeze is wonderful and the water is crystal clear .   

Southern Oregon has a very mild climate making this a wild flower paradise. We are located in Sunset Garden Magazine's climate zone 17.  I like to say the weather is like "Spring and Fall all year" not too hot and not too cold, it's just right.
