Albert Wu is a Real Estate investor whose focus is on sound investment strategies and the personal relationships he builds with clients. He got his start at Merrill Lynch after graduating with his Bachelor of Science degree from Stony Brook University in 2007. While at Merrill Lynch, in addition to his duties as an analyst, he built solid business relationships with clients and coordinated with off-shore teams. This gave him a first-hand understanding of the corporate world, while also engaging his interest in economics through the study of current and historical financial trends.

Having a keen grasp of business and economic fundamentals, Mr. Wu anticipated that the housing crisis would open up enormous financial opportunities in the Real Estate sector. In 2009, he left Merrill Lynch to pursue Real Estate development full-time, first as a private lender, before becoming the acquisitions manager for Oakland Lakes LLC, an investment firm that acquires in multi-family properties.

As a private lender, he worked hand-in-hand with his investors and borrowers to build trusted relationships with clients. While he enjoyed his role as a private lender, in 2011 he turned to investing in multi-family properties, seeing this as more beneficial for his investors in the long run. He is currently the acquisitions manager of Oakland Lakes LLC.
