I am from Jacksonville, Alabama where I attended Jacksonville State University and received a Masters Degree in clinical psychology. I worked in this field for a while before deciding to go into the family business of real estate. My father has been building homes for over 30 years, and he worked with his father who built before him. Calhoun Development Company Inc employs my husband, brother, uncle and various cousins as well. I am the exclusive real estate agent for the company.
I found that after getting licensed to sell our homes that I really wanted to do more. I have been listing and selling in Calhoun County since 1997. I love working with sellers, and I hired Cassie McCord as an assistant in 2008 so I could free up more of my time to do that. She has since become licensed and joined The Amy Angel Team as a buyer's agent.
We make a really great team, because we share the same beliefs and values and are not afraid of hard work. We always treat our clients with the respect they deserve and are not afraid to admit that we don't know everything. We do our best to provide prompt responses to our client phone calls, e-mails or texts.
The hard work, integrity and skill has paid off, as I am in the top five producers in Calhoun County. More importantly, I was voted Best Realtor in Calhoun County in 2010 by a consumer poll in The Anniston Star (our local newspaper). I am nicely weathering the storm that is the real estate world the last three or four years and have no intentions of taking another job or even a second job in the near future. Real estate is my profession, and I will continue to thrive by listing and selling homes. My team will continue to grow in the coming year, and we'll seek out like minded professionals to keep the Amy Angel Team at the top.
I have a lot of experience with new construction, having represented a builder since 1997. However, I am also very good at representing sellers of existing homes. I enjoy working with first time home sellers as well as those who have sold several. My team is also great with first time home buyers but also respects the knowledge and different type of relationship expected by the seasoned buyer or investor. Our business is propelled by referrals from satisfied past clients and customers. We do our best to build relationships and grow them!
