Chris has been awarded the Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) designation.  The Certified Residential Specialist designation is the highest designation awarded to sales associates in the residential sales field.  The CRS designation recognizes professional accomplishments in both experience and education.  To earn the Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) designation, every REALTOR® must have significant experience and volume of real estate transactions.  Every CRS Designee is required to maintain membership in the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® and to abide by its strict Code of Ethics.  To help make the home buying and selling process more rewarding, every CRS designee must have a proven track record in the business, as well as advanced education in related areas like finance, technology and marketing.  Only 4 percent of REALTORS® obtain this prestigious designation.

Both Chris and Mary-kay are a REALTOR e-PRO.  A Realtor e-PRO® Internet Professional is a Realtor® who has completed a rigorous certification program endorsed by the prestigious National Association of Realtors® (NAR).  Real estate agents and brokers who have earned Realtor e-PRO® Certification are Internet Professionals who have completed extensive training using the Web.  Realtor e-PRO® Certification means the real estate professional is prepared to employ the latest techniques and services for your benefit, just like you've grown to expect from a professional.

Both Mary-kay and Chris have been awarded the SRES (Senior Real Estate Specialist) designation.  Seniors Real Estate Specialists® are Realtors® qualified to meet the special needs and concerns of maturing Americans.  A national program since 1998, The Senior Advantage Real Estate Council® (SAREC®) offers a specific designation, SRES®, to identify those members who have successfully completed its education program along with other prerequisites.  By earning the SRES® designation, your Realtor® has demonstrated necessary knowledge and expertise to counsel senior clients through major financial and lifestyle transitions involved in relocating, refinancing, or selling the family home.  Your Realtor® has received special training, gets regular updates, and is prepared to offer the options and information needed in making life changing decisions.

Chris has earned the GREEN designation.  Established by the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR), the Green REsource Council serves real estate professionals by providing comprehensive training and access to cutting-edge resources and tools as well as promoting green excellence, leadership, and consumer awareness within and across multiple real estate disciplines. Practitioners who complete the 3-day program are awarded NAR's Green Designation, the only green training program recognized by NAR.  

Mary-kay has earned her Seller Representative Specialist designation.  The Seller Representative Specialist (SRS) designation is the premier credential in seller representation. It is designed to elevate professional standards and enhance personal performance. The designation is awarded to real estate practitioners by the Council of Real Estate Brokerage Managers (CRB) who meet specific educational and practical experience criteria.

Mary-kay has been awarded the Internet Marketing Specialist Designation.  The Internet Marketing Specialist Designation (IMSD) is a proven training program for REALTORS that helps demystify the best practices for internet marketing through Social Media, Systems, and Searching

There are many very good realtors, but in my opinion Chris Canfield, and his wife, Mary-kay, are an outstanding team, and we consider ourselves luck to have purchased our home through them. We did a lot of looking and talked to a lot of agents prior to contacting Chris. But it turned out the realtor we had worked the most with could not represent the particular property of interest. Chris was the listing agent. I normally would not go to the listing agent, to avoid a "dual agent" situation, but after looking at their website my gut said they were good, and I was not wrong. Chris always got back to me very quickly on any question; worked hard to find good solutions to any situation, made an excellent recommendation for the home inspection and took care of that and the closing for us, and gave me all of the contact numbers and reminders that I needed to change utilities and set up services for the new home. I have never had an easier, more professional purchasing experience, and this is the 10th home I've bought in a long lifetime. Highly recommended without any reservations.

Of all of the service providers I've used in my life, Chris Canfield and his wife, Mary Kay Canfield, are the best. My Mom passed away in August in Florida, and my two siblings and I flew down there from the Midwest to put her to rest and to deal with her estate. My sister-in-law found Chris online and invited Chris and Mary Kay to come talk to us about their realtor services. After conversing with them for a few days online and meeting them in person, we hired them in what was the best decision we made regarding my parents' estate. My siblings and I were in Florida for only 5 days, and I feared I'd need to fly back 1-3 times to deal with the house, but Chris and Mary Kay took care of EVERYTHING on their own, and communicated what we needed through email. They had the house cleaned for an extremely reasonable price; patched the holes in the wall; donated whatever furniture they thought didn't work for the sale and moved it out of the home; helped us fix a sprinkler issue and a garage door opener issue; had a few open houses for us; and sold the house within 3 weeks for the price we wanted. When your last surviving parents dies, you want to take time to grieve, but unfortunately, you also have a lot of administrative things to take care of. Selling the house - which I anticipated would be the most time-consuming, expensive, and stressful part of the estate process - was the easiest thanks to Chris and Mary Kay. I can't recommend them highly enough.
At our first meeting with Chris and Mary-Kay, they were the obvious choice to help us with the sale of my parent's home in The Villages. My father was gravely ill and it was comforting to meet this couple who were not only professional, but kind, compassionate and trustworthy. Our needs seemed endless and daunting, but they came through at every single turn. With their experience, they knew how to overcome our many challenges. Because we were out of state, and moved my mother as well, they handled our sale long distance. They kept us fully informed about every detail. We had a house to sale in Florida with us located in Tennessee. The house needed a lot of repair to even get it ready to list. Chris was there with us from the very beginning and all the way thru to the end. Without his assistance, we would not have been able to get this house ready for sale and sell it so quickly. He facilitated everything for us and always had answers when needed. This would not have been possible if not for his knowledge, experience, and willingness to go above and beyond to assist us. I would highly recommend him and will use him again in the future if we have a property in his area to sale or purchase.
Chris listed my Mom's house located in his local practice area. He was very knowledgable of residential market fluctuations related to large percentage of migratory residents coming in and out of the area, and able to make adjustments in his marketing and pricing strategy to attract a buyer in a short time. Considering Mom's mobility problems, Chris went beyond the 'call of duty' to assist with delivery and execution of critical documents, without which the transaction would not have closed. Chris has formulated the qualities necessary for providing excellent service at a very high professional level.
Chris did a much better job of staging our house, and provided better photographs than our previous realtor. He and his wife, Mary-Kay were very helpful and responsive from our first meeting up to and including our settlement. I would gladly recommend them to anyone who is considering buying or selling a home.

From the moment I met Chris I knew he was the realtor for us. His pre meeting work was great so that when he came to the house, he was ready to talk particulars. Being an out of town seller, Chris stepped in and helped with local contacts and was amazing with his communication to us. I always felt he was interested in the property and it wasn't just another sale for him.
We had a wonderful experience working with Chris as the seller's representative. The sellers were out of town (daughters) and he passed on our questions and got answers very quickly. He kept the process of closing on track so we met the date. He attended the buyers inspection and made sure all the items found were fixed. He kept the lender on track by pushing for the bank's appraisal. And at closing he helped with the inevitable glitch that arose from the closing company (not his fault). Chris replied to emails and voice messages in a nice and timely manner. I don't usually give all 5's in reviews but I feel that Chris has earned them.
