                                                                                      My Story

Born in a historic apartment in Venice Beach in the 70's. My father was a generous, hard-working musician and minister that supported his family with commercial maintenance jobs. My mother was a trendy hippie that crossed her fingers at the grocery store hoping the check would go through!

I had a very not normal childhood-but in a good way. My parents loved to cook, eat, sing and dance, and entertain on a dime.

I moved to Ventura,CA when I was just about a teenager and spent as many waking hours as possible at the beach. My father ran a café and when we needed some spending cash we worked for him as cashiers and prep cooks.

I also spent time in Hemet California(not by choice), my sister and I really stood out in Hemet in the 80's (if you know anything about Hemet....we use to say it's where old people go to die) and we lived in Idyllwild, which is a miniscule, rustic, resort community in the San Bernardino Mountains. There are two streets-North Circle and South Circle....My mom and stepdad still live in a cabin there. And people think Maui is small!

I decided one day I had enough of life "happening" to me and on a whim decided to move to Maui. The second day I was here I met Paul, a local boy, through some mutual friends. After a week of Paul being our tour guide, in an effort to win me over, I fell in love and we were married six months later.

We quickly realized that we had opposite ideas on money and finances. Since mine came from fairy-tales and his came from books and parents who managed money well I switched sides.

I got a job as a front desk agent at The Grand Wailea Resort turns out I was not cut out for the whole employee thing. The whole being told when you can eat just wasn't my style.  I needed to own a business not a job. So thats what I did!

Real Estate School was piece of cake but it did not prepare me for the real thing. Turns out I was natural.  In fact I loved the real estate business so much I went back to school to get my ABR accreditation and my Brokers License in the last six years.

Being young and self-employed it took us a while to find a lender that would give us a loan to buy our first investment property. Our first property was Harbor Lights (some people affectionately call it Harbor Frights). We remodeled it and sold it exactly a year later for double what we bought it for. We now own three businesses and our last real estate venture was building a house and cottage in Kihei.

My favorite things to do are to find the secret restaurants and holes in the wall restaurants in towns we are visiting and on Maui. My sister has a  cooking show on the internet that I love to watch,  and I'm often reading 5 or 6 books at any given time. I love business & marketing books, and I love memoirs. In a pinch I'll read fiction but it better be good! My favorite books are: Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill, The E -Myth by Michael Gerber, Purple Cow by Seth Godin,  Millionaire Real Estate Agent by Gary Keller, Secrets of the Millionaire Mind by T. Harv Eker and How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie.  I'm also an avid student of the Bible, devote time to community service, and I'm a big Fan of American Bull Dogs and Pit Bulls. When time allows I dance ballet with The Alexander Academy in Kula, spend time with my friends and family on Maui, and spend time with my family on the mainland virtually.

I know that buyring Maui Real Estate is a great long term strategy to wealth building and should be part of your investment portfolio.

Businessweek did a study that said thet residents in Hawaii live longer than any other State! So what are you waiting for?

I will let my clients speak for my ability to represent your real estate interests (my track record).

I would love to connect with you on a professional level. If that turns into business referrals back and forth even better. But, if you just want to talk story about Maui Real Estate, techniques that work in our business, marketing, technology, communicating, Keller Williams (and why I work with them), Maui Restaurants (I'll give you "The List"), or just something you think I should know.
