My family and I came to Oak Harbor in 2000 to set down our roots for the last time.  Having lived in six coastal states over the last 40 years, I can truly say that Washington is the final stop.  Our community of Oak Harbor, is full of friendly people, a feeling of pride in its heritage, and a caring attitude towards all its citizens.  There are also lots of opportunities to indulge your favorite pastimes, be they winter sports, water recreation, joining an artistic community or service group, etc.
