After graduating from the University of Minnesota with a degree in political science, I moved to Northern Virginia to take a job in Washington, DC. I presently reside near the Occoquan Reservoir with my husband, two teenage children, two large dogs (including a 150-pound St. Bernard!), and one cat. My professional career began on Capitol Hill, where I served as a legislative aide in both the U.S. House of Representatives and U.S. Senate. Subsequently, I served as a consultant to the US Environmental Protection Agency and the Rochester, NY City School District. From 1998-2002, I directed the California State University's Office of Federal Relations. In these public service positions, I honed my marketing, advocacy, problem solving, and negotiating skills. As a full time realtor, I now enjoy utilizing these same skills to provide superior residential real estate services to buyers and sellers throughout Northern Virginia.
If you are like most Americans, your home is your most significant financial investment. Whether you wish to purchase, build, or sell a home, you deserve to have an experienced, well-educated, and patient realtor working on your behalf. You can rely on me to guide you through the entire process and help you make the best decisions.
Since a large number of my buyers and sellers are referred to me by satisfied clients and fellow realtors, you may be assured that maintaining my reputation as an honest, caring, hardworking agent is of utmost importance to me. I am committed to going the extra mile to not only meet your expectations, but to surpass them. I look forward to hearing from you!
Affiliated with Long & Foster's Centreville Gateway Office, Barbara works with both buyers and sellers in the northern Virginia counties of Fairfax, Fauquier, Loudoun, and Prince William.
