I am not your father's Realtor.
By that I mean that I'm not a traditional Realtor. I don't tell the buyer which properties to look at. I don't tell the buyer which homes they should be interested in. I don't send everybody in town a postcard telling them I'm the Number One Agent or a Million Dollar Producer or some other meaningless claim. I don't pay lip service to how I'm supposed to be working for you and looking out for your best interests and then sell you down the river whenever the opportunity arises for me to make a little or a lot of extra money at your expense.
What I will do is let you have as much control as you want over the process of buying or selling your home. I will always try to exceed your expectations so that whenever you know someone who is looking to buy or sell their home, you'll enthusiastically recommend me. And, above all, I will make sure you know what your options are in every situation, and let you decide what's best for you. In short, I truly understand my legal and professional role as your agent. If there is something I would do for myself if I were a client, then that's what I'll do for you.
Though I do take listings and get great results for my sellers, I really specialize as a buyer's agent. And, unlike many of my fellow Massachusetts agents who have started practicing buyer agency when the new agency law went into effect in 2005, I've been a true buyer's agent since 1998. I've done over 100 transactions as a buyer's agent in that time. And since I learn something from just about every transaction, I've had the opportunity to learn a lot as I've gained experience.
Specializing in buyers also helps me do a better job for my sellers. I know what's important to buyers, and I know what they think, which really helps me prepare my sellers' homes, and it can make a big difference during negotiations.
