Choosing the right real estate agent can save you time, effort, and aggravation by finding the perfect home at a price you can afford or by selling your home quickly for top dollar.  That 's why it is so important that you understand some key points when choosing your REALTOR:

1: Find an agent that works with a MLS based system. 

 If you are looking to SELL your home, you want it listed on a Multiple Listing Service to showcase it to as many potential buyers as possible.  Homes listed on an MLS are viewed by buyers, realtors, and are syndicated to real estate web sites. 

 If you are looking to BUY a home, agents that work with a Multiple Listing Service have access to a multitude of homes listed for sale.  This means that they can sell you the homes that they personally have listed as well as listings from other offices.  This eliminates the need to run around to every agent in town, and instead you can utilize just one agent that is really working for your best interest, and not just trying to sell one of their listings.

2.  Talk to several REALTORS, and find one that you can connect with on a personal level.

Real estate is a very diverse field with agents coming from all walks of life.  Some agents are young, fresh, and eager to please; some agents are driven, full-time devotees; and others yet are retired from another profession and are comfortable, laid back agents that take the time to make a buyer into a friend!  Whatever style you may prefer, talk to several different agents and find one that you connect with and feel comfortable placing your trust in.

3. Don't choose an agent based on an advertisement!

The most important thing when either buying or selling a home is to select the right real estate agent, but people usually go about it backwards!  They read a newspaper or get one of the home magazines at the supermarket, and they call about a home they see advertised.  Advertising is designed to make the brokers' and agents' phone ring.  Typically no one buys the house they call for, but from that point on, they are joined at the hip with an agent they no nothing about- whether they are good, bad, or indifferent.  Remember: find an agent before you find the house!

Jerry & Sue Hall started it all 35 years ago when they opened Century 21 Ozark Hills Realty, Inc in West Plains, MO.  The husband and wife team has grown from a start-up franchise into a multi-million dollar community mainstay.  They own several tracts of area land, rental duplex properties, a large cattle operation, the local Holiday Inn Express, and continue to help the area grow by supporting new businesses coming to the area.

Steve Bainbridge: A former resident of Illinois, Steve moved to West Plains with his wife Bonnie.  He specializes in performing BPO's (Broker Price Opinion) on area properties and is on the local rural water board.

Pam Cochran: Pam grew up in Buffalo, MO and has been selling real estate in West Plains for eight years.  She is a multi-million dollar producer, an emerald & diamond Century 21 award winner, and she serves the area of West Plains, Southfork, Caulfield, Lake Norfork, Bakersfield, and Northern Arkansas.

Jane Collins: Jane is a longtime resident of West Plains, a multi-million dollar producer and diamond Century 21 award winner.  She specializes in foreclosure properties for the West Plains, Willow Springs, Mtn.View Birch Tree, Mtn. Grove, Winona, and surrounding areas.

Melinda Harris: Melinda is a proud wife to her husband Pete and the mother of two children.  Her son Dustin recently began college on a golfing scholarship and her daughter is in the 8th grade at Fairview Middle School.  Melinda enjoys working with buyers to match the perfect family with the perfect home.

Rod Jarvis: Rod Jarvis recently consolidated his own C21 office with the Ozark Hills office to better serve his clientele. He has his broker's license, has served as president of the West Plains Board of Realtors, and is a lifetime resident of the Moody area.

Lora Stowers: Lora and her husband Lynn have two children and are avid participants in the local softball league, girl scout troop, and Richards School activities. Lora deals with residential, commercial, and vacant land real estate.
