Get to Know Cari Rieder

I've lived on the Illinois and Iowa side of the Quad Cities and know the market very well. I have a pretty simple philosophy for everything in life and that is "do the right thing", it takes so much complication out of life. I listen to my clients and often serve as a voice of reason to keep my buyer clients on track and focused on what they really need and what will keep them satisfied in their new home. I show all company's listing and also show for sale by owner homes so my buyers see everything that is available. When it comes time to negotiate is when my buyers clients see the greatest value in my service, I've saved many of my clients $5000, $10,000, even $15,000 from what they would have agreed to pay by knowing the market and being a strong negotiator.

When working with sellers I'm an honest Realtor who won't always tell a seller what they want to hear, but I will tell them what they need to hear to be able to sell their home. I won't always come in with the highest asking price, but because of my experience and the wealth of sales information that our multiple listing service provides I will come in with a very accurate selling price. When working with sellers they get the same negotiation skills, but to their advantage by holding on to as much of their list price as possible. While an average Realtor in the Quad City market sells at approximately 96.5% of listing price, I on average this past year have held to over 99% of list price, saving my seller clients thousands of dollars.

I am a licensed real estate broker in Iowa and a licensed real estate sales person in Illinois. I am a designated ABR, which stands for Accredited Buyer Representative. This designation means I've taken additional classes and have a required experience level representing buyers. I have served on Quad City Area Realtor Association on several different committees including Professional Standards, Grievance, Public Relations, and several more. This year I was elected by the membership consisting of over 700 Realtors to serve on the Board of Directors for the Quad City Area Realtor Association, which is both a great responsibility and a great honor.

Certifications

I have experience in all areas of the Quad City market and tend to specialize in homes between about $80,000-$300,000. I've sold higher and lower, but tend to stay in that range for the most part.  I love working with buyers, especially first-time buyers and relocation buyers. Relocation buyers are always fun because I get to show off my knowledge of all the wonderful local favorite hot spots that new Quad Citians need to visit. My love of first time buyers comes from being able to teach them about what things are important when looking for a new home and helping them get into the best financial position so they never have to look back and regret their purchase and also so they'll be in a good spot when it's time to move to their next home.

I also sell some commercial real estate. Though I don't specialize in commercial real estate, I work with a great team who does, so I have a wealth of information at my fingertips which is essential in the commercial market.
