It's different in Mexico. Not better, not worse, just different. My specialty is safe-guarding and educating the client so that they understand the procedures and their investment is safe. I personally supervise each transaction from start to finish, working with the closing company and/or finance company to ensure that my client's interests are always the most important consideration. My experience and expertise working with retirees, vacation home buyers and investors in all of Los Cabos is the true value of my service. Anyone can show your client homes; I do more. For many of my clients this is the first time they have bought, or sold, in Mexico. So in a sense I do specialize in 'first time in Mexico' buyers. Lately many of my buyers are purchasing homes to use as vacation homes in the near term with an eventual plan to retire here full time or as snow birds. Their needs are a bit different than those who are buying strictly for vacation/rental properties, for example the need for more storage, which is challenging but do-able.
I also list many properties, including high end homes in Los Cabos. The majority of my listings are in gated communities, such as Pedregal, Rancho Paraiso, Cabo Bello and Cabo del Sol. Occasionally I list commercial properties, however have just hired a commercial specialist for our office.
