I started out flipping distressed houses after a long stint as a retail manager. I was working 70 - 80 hours a week and then decided it was time for a change. At first, I was just flipping and not a licensed agent. Then, I figured I would give becoming a realtor a try to supplement income while I was waiting for the flip houses to sell. Besides, I was pretty board waiting for settlement to come and I like to be doing something real estate related at all times.
I then decided to start investing in non performing notes as a way to find better deals. Like I said, anything real estate related has my attention. Just ask my wife, it drives her nuts.
So now I'm a real estate agent and investor. I work with both buyers and sellers in West Virginia and Maryland helping them find and sell homes. I also buy residential and commercial non performing notes and bulk REO packages. First liens on those types of properties are my focus, anything from single notes to larger pools up to and exceeding 10 million dollars in size.
