This is a testimonial to the work Chris Eckert did in preparing for and selling my home in Redwood City. I found Chris Eckert through a referral from another real estate agent who in turn was recommended by some people I knew (Chris works in the area where I was selling my home while the other agent covers a different geographical location). When I first met Chris I felt right away that he would be knowledgeable but also easy to work with. Chris listened to my plans, needs, and views about the home and how to market it given current conditions. Chris provided market information that helped provide a very useful framework for determining how to price and market the home. The first steps included a list of improvements to get the home in prime selling condition; these improvements included landscaping (which was in progress but not completed at the time), coating the driveway, pressure washing the outside of the home, and minor improvements such as doing paint touch-ups and removing unneeded furniture to prepare for staging. Then the home (along with outside patio areas) was staged with professionally arranged furniture, pictures, and plants; the final look of the home was a significant improvement in a few short but very busy weeks. The result was amazing with a ‘model home’ look and feel attracting a long list of interested buyers and agents with a sale coming at way over the asking price ($280K over) when the offers were due. Chris Eckert made selling our condo a very easy process. He first provided us with a timeline as to what to expect from the initial listing to the sale. He explained the whole process in detail; completed all the required paperwork; and arranged for all the necessary vendors to get the condo ready for sale (Inspectors, Stager, Carpet Cleaner, etc.). Whenever we had questions he was always available. If we left him a voicemail, he would call us back right away; even on the weekend. I would like to say a few words about Chris Eckert and his team. We have never worked with such a professional team. They made what was a very difficult time for our family seem very seamless. They not only sold our house (2338 S. Norfolk), but found a wonderful place for our daughter (1239 Shelter Creek)! Chris was always there to answer questions and worked very hard to stick to our timeline. His assistant, Michele, was the greatest.
