I have lived, left, visited and returned to Sarasota area since 1979.  I have seen both Manatee and Sarasota Counties grow from orange groves and dirt roads to what they are today.  My life's journey has taken me away from Sarasota but I keep coming back.  I left for awhile in my twenties to return to the North East where I spent my formative years, but I came back, then I got to travel the world as a Tech, Trainer, Project Manager and Customer Service Rep for over 12 years for a software developer - keeping Sarasota as my base and where I traveled out of. 

Boy talking about seeing change happen - I remember when Cortez Rd had no business or condos or buildings along it.  It was a straight stretch to the beach.  I remember going 4 wheel riding out Bee Ridge - long before any of the buildup east of 75 was even thought of.  I watched Palmer Ranch, The Meadows and Lakewood Ranch all develop.   When I decided to change careers and become a professional real estate agent, I also decided to stay here and put my local knowledge to use.
