I enjoy Real Estate. I have met a wide range of interesting, kind, and downright fun people in my time in this industry. However, there is a lot more to me that RE. I grew up as a button pusher. Not the kind of kid that pushed buttons on people, but the kid that loved buttons, knobs, dials, and switches. I had to know what they did, what they controlled. This button obsession became a career in consumer electronics. First in retail, then a smaller manufactorer and finally with a company that is dominant in the industry. Turned out to be 17 great years with the giant company. I was given the opportunity to travel the country and much of the world. I met many well know people. I attended events and did things that very few other industries could offer. My highlight, and the greatest adrenalin rush was testifying before a Congressional sub committee regarding the Digital Home Recording Act in 1991. They were great days and I rarely felt like I was working.

I also love sports. I grew up just outside of Cleveland Ohio, and first fell in love with the Cleveland Indians. As a 10 year old, I was certain I would one day roam center-field for them and enjoy a great career. Didn't happen, but I love MLB, and in particular, my Indians. Of course I have stuck with them through thick and thin (a lot of thin) as well as with the Browns and Cavs. I have played sports all of my life and had a great love affair with bicycle riding. For years I was on the saddle for 150 or miles each week. Unfortunately a nasty run in with a pickup truck ended my cycling days. A physical challenge of some kind (weigh lifting now) will always be a part of my life.

Lastly, reading is something that gives me great joy. News, politics, science, anything at all I love to read.

I also have a son who is about to turn 16, but that's a challenge of a different nature and a story for another day.

As I started to write about my experience it struck me that I had more that I realized and it was very broad-based. Here is a brief summary. I have sold bare land, condo's, and single family homes. I have been involved with and competed transactions using Seller Financing, FHA, VA and Conventional Loans. I have been involved with short sales, bank owned properties and even conventional sales!

The most interesting was bare land in a non residential area. No lock box required. My seller, potential buyers and myself were chased off the property by donkeys and sheep expecting us to have food. The worst, my sign and my face (on the sign) were taken down by a shot gun blast. But, the property was sold, my seller was thrilled, and I was relieved not to have to face the donkeys and sheep again.

God, family and career. Easy priorities and a great map for traveling through the maze of life. I like physical activities, and I love to read. Meet me, and I bet we get along.
