Choosing an agent is crucial when purchasing a home - this would be number 1 on my list. You need an agent who is hungry, who responds ASAP, who communicates with you on a predetermined schedule (daily, weekly) , who is knowledgeable, and thoughtful about your real estate needs. A must ask question of your agent is – how quickly will you respond? I tell this to all my clients that response time is crucial. Homes sell fast and you need an agent who responds ASAP. As a client, ask questions. Lot of questions. If the agent doesn't have the answer, make sure they find the answer. As a client, you never want to be in the dark so please ask as many questions as possible even if the questions seems basic.
