My professional background has consisted of Government as well as Civilian work experience. Serving time in the U.S. Army for many years prepared me to work with many different cultures and people of all types of backgrounds. In conjunction with my professional experience, I was a sole proprietor of my own company that bought, sold and rehabbed houses for a number of years. In addition, I served on the executive board of a non-profit organization on the West side of Cleveland that serves the needs of the community.

My roots do not stem from Ohio, but rather from Washington, D.C. where I spent my childhood, and young adult years until joining the military. Ohio was my last duty station and is where I met my husband who is my best friend. My children, grandchildren and friends are spread throughout the U.S. from the east to the west, north and southern parts of the U.S.

My professional interests include serving as a member of my local Chamber of Commerce, Disabled Veterans Association, and Veterans Advantage. As well as serving female veterans in the Cuyahoga County VTC program.
