Get to Know Diane Hyland

I relocated to Northeast Pennsylvania from Queens, New York in 2002. I was a legal secretary for 20 years and upon moving to Pennsylvania became interested in becoming a Realtor. I am a member of the Greater Scranton Board of Realtors and the Pike/Wayne Multiple Listing Service. As the recipient of the Quality Service Award for outstanding customer service, I am a true professional when it comes to assisting homeowners with selling their homes and buyers in purchasing either a primary home or a vacation home.

Certifications

Having worked in midtown Manhattan as a paralegal for 15 years in various areas of law including real estate, I am quite savvy in how the real estate transaction process is handled.  Step by step, I assist my clients with obtaining financing, and other contingencies in buying homes, especially for first time buyers.  Since buying or selling a home can be very stressful, my goal is to make it as simple and stress-free as possible.  I am successful in getting my listings sold quickly at a price close to the asking price.  My sellers have been extremely satisfied with my professionalism and enthusiasm in getting their homes sold.  My buyers love my sense of humor and ability to zero in on their specific requirements in buying a home.  My sharp intuition has created much success for me in my real estate career.  I earned the 2007 Century 21 Quality Service Producer Award.  This award is recognized by Century 21 for superior customer service, and quality service is paramount to fostering successful client relationships.

Having lived in Lake Ariel over the last 8 years, I have become quite the avid boater.  Although I am not an olympic swimmer and have some issues with water, I have enjoyed many summers on Lake Wallenpaupack which happens to be the second largest man-made lake in Northeast Pennsylvania.  Imagine that!  The City of Scranton is only 15 miles from Lake Ariel and offers some of the most interesting history of Pennsylvania.  The coal mine tour is awesome!  Lake Ariel is only 2 1/2 hours from New York and offers some of the prettiest scenery you'll ever see.  Definitely worth a visit!
