Born and raised in Stuart, the Treasure Coast is the only area I have ever called home. This gives me the advantage of knowing nearly everything there is to know about the area - neighborhoods, schools, restaurants, shopping. If you are looking for anything in the Stuart/Palm City area, odds are I can tell you where to find it.
I earned my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Accounting from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, and I am a licensed CPA in Florida. After college I spent one year working in audit for Deloitte & Touche, the largest professional services firm in the world. However, my passion has always been real estate, and I am now living my dream of being a full time Realtor.
Being a CPA as well, I strive to bring the more favorable perceptions of accountants to my work in real estate. I am meticulous and very detail oriented, which I truly believe provides my clients with the most exceptional experience possible.

“In October of 2013 my company offered me a transfer to their Stuart facility. My wife and I knew nothing about the area or the state of Florida for that matter. We had until the end of December to get this entire move done as I had to start work by the 6th of January. Everything had to come together perfectly for this move to happen on schedule. I was referred to Derek by a co-worker who was also making the move. We talked to Derek on the phone, told him our situation and a brief idea of what we were looking for in a home, and he got to work right away. We flew in on October 16th, met with Derek on the 17th, had a contract for our new home by the 18th, and flew back to Ohio a couple days later. Buying a home is not an easy task from 1,000 miles away. Derek took care of everything for us. He went above and beyond. You will not find a better agent. We can't thank him enough.”
