I've been running around on construction sites since I was old enough to push a broom! And now I want to put that experience to work for you. Pre-purchase inspections are the most sought after service I offer, but I also offer pre-sale and renovation (bird-dog) inspections. As an independent inspector I can offer my customers qualified, objective inspections on homes throughout east central Alberta.
I've consolidated my years of construction experience with the leading courses on home inspection and defecit recognition; Carson Dunlop. This extensive curiculum, combined with courses offered by the Alberta Safety Codes Council comprise the educational admission requirements of what I consider to be the leading association for my industry: The Canadian Association of Home and Property Inpsectors (CAHPI). I've followed other inspectors, inspected on my own, and challenged the MIPR (Mock Inspection with Peer review) as stages towards becoming a Registered Home Inspector.
My reports are unique narratives for each inspection, not checklists. They are easily readable, illustrated with professional drawings and my photos from the inspection. They help explain the conditions I find, the reasons I think these are important, and what, if anything, needs to be done to address these concerns. I invite clients to participate in the inspections; I love to show people the home, its systems and components. When we are done, I hope my clients will know more about the home, and how to care for it, than its present owners. Any questions? Ask! Call me now or call me later, I am always willing to explain. Got a question about something the other guy didn't/won't/can't explain? Call me. Honest!
I love to explain things, I've been called professor so many times it is starting to go to my head. With a university degree, and oversees living and teaching experience to my credit, I believe that I can help anyone to better understand the home that they are interested in. First time home buyers, or people buying their first home in Canada may need more time to fully understand how a house works, and what all the information they are being given means, and I am good with that! Call me, text me, email me, I'll explain it further if that is needed (or maybe explain it again when your Dad is there to help fix things.)
