Austin Real Estate Broker Eric Peterson sees trust as the cornerstone of both his business and his personal relationships. As a result, many who started out as clients are now long-term friends who enjoy referring their friends and family to him.

Those past clients know Eric can be relied upon to accurately supply the facts needed to make wise decisions; to offer warnings when they’re called for; to take the time to give complete explanations of the entire buying, selling, and borrowing processes; and to use his organizational skills to make sure no detail is overlooked. Eric began his association with real estate as a mortgage broker in 1996. After finding that many of his clients were coming to him for advice on their real estate transactions as well as their loans, he obtained a real estate license 2013 and worked dual careers for 7 years before turning to real estate full time.

He credits his years as a mortgage broker for his in-depth understanding of the buying process and his respect for both deadlines and the contributions made by title agents, lenders, appraisers, inspectors, and others involved in bringing a transaction to closing.

Eric’s clients enjoy and appreciate his consistent communication, real estate expertise, and patience in making sure they understand every detail. These traits, combined with in-depth market knowledge, are also responsible for his status as an expert witness in probate cases when the court is overseeing the sale of property.

Eric holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and Finance from San Antonio’s Trinity University, and he continues to further his education by earning real estate designations such as Senior Real Estate Specialist, Certified Negotiation Expert, and Certified Residential Specialist (CRS). CRS is a designation held by only 3% of all REALTORS®. He also serves as President of the communication and public speaking group, Austin Toastmasters.

A strong believer in strengthening both body as well as the mind, Eric is involved in a variety of sports activities including weight lifting, golfing, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and running. In fact, he’s now in training for his first full marathon.

His favorite non-profit is Austin Sunshine Camps, where he not only serves as a camp volunteer, but as a fundraiser. Using his marketing and organizational skills, Eric was named “Volunteer of The Year” for increasing donations to Austin Sunshine Camps from about $10,000 per year to annual donations of more than $75,000.

Eric’s family includes Joyce and their golden retrievers Seeley and recently rescued Wiley. You may run across them at one of the local dog parks or dog friendly restaurants around Austin.
