Get to Know Frank DeAngelo

I sold real estate in Nevada in 1970 for four years and never made any money. I was young and crazy and just wanted to have a good time. I decided to go back to working in the gaming industry for 20 years or so and that was fun in those days when the Mob ran the casinos. I actually knew all the characters portrayed in the film "Casino"and could tell you the real stories. Along the way I got interested in acting. I have had roles in some 40 or Television and film productions. The latest being the current hit film "21" with Kevin Spacey. Go to Frankie DeAngelo in Google and you'll see a summary of my work. It's not all there. I have had an assortment of intersting jobs along the way too and often found myself in very interesting situations I dare not divulge. I began in Residential Real Estate and reached award status through hard work and sacrifice. Todays market has made going back to basics the way to go to continue to survive. I got married for the first time 3 years ago to another Realtor and if I didn't understand the business I would have already been divorced. My wife is a wonderful, bright and cute woman and I tell everyone she is smarter than me..at academic things and to top it off she's the Broker in my office. Besides, she's one of the shaprest Realtor's I have ever come across. She sells a lot of million dollar homes and nobody represents clients better. Believe me, I don't get cut any slack in office expense or how I keep my files. I have led a very exciting life since moving to Las Vegas in the 60's. When I see the stories portrayed in film and TV my friends and I just giggle because we know how it really is and was. I have met many celebrities along the way and for the most part they are really cool people. Then of course, there is the &%*%#@ that comes along every once in a while. I could go on forever with stories and when one comes to mind I just think to myself. "Did I really do that?" I often amuse my clients with history and stories of Las vegas that took place over the last forty or so years. It's been a blast. However, all that aside, first and foremost are the wants and needs of my clients. Believe it or not, much of the time I don't even look at the commission I'll be getting until we actually write a contract. I will be adding to this profile as I go along and i'm sure there will be some interesting tales to tell. Check back.

I began in residential real estate in 1999 with Century 21. In two years I was already one of the top 5 producers in an office of some 80 agents and 40th in the entire southwest region. When I began there there was a commercial agent on staff. My very first transaction happened to be a land deal with a friend of mine. Shortly thereafter the commercial agent left the office and I was designated the "Commercial Guy." I knew nothing about commercial real estate. Before I knew it I was selling Dental practices and finding locations for Dentists and Doctors such as Land to Build on, Office Space and the Purchase of Buildings. I also did a couple Warehouse transactions along the way. I was with Century 21 for 6 years and moved over to RE/MAX Benchmark Realty almost five years ago. I have.69 acre parcel in escrow and just closed a transaction on a 3600 sf building. I continue to sell some residential because my past clients call me or refer new business to me.. How can I turn it down? Especially in today's market. So in recapping my business I have to say that I do the following:  I work with Buyer's and Sellers. I sell existing and new buildings. I locate space for Medical and Professional clients to lease. I locate land for investors and users to develop and I still sell a residential property once in a while. I leave the residential to my wife who is a Broker and a stickler for perfection when it comes to representing a client. I am totally dedicated to my clients and receive a constant stream of referrals as my reward..P.S. since this was written I am back to concentrating on Residential real estate. Commercial is having a very difficult time. There is no money out there for commercial developers and buyers of land and buildings. Lease rates on commercial space has gone into the proverbial toilet and rents are going for a dolae a foot. I'm back to doing what I do best but guess what..You can't gat an offer accepted. It's back to work all over again..Gotta love it !!
