Meet The Ross Team Jay & Kristi Ross met in Steamboat Springs, CO in 1989 and lived there until they were married in 1995. They recently moved back to Colorado from Palm Coast, FL. They chose Fort Collins because of its mild winters, vibrant college atmosphere and local charm. “When we left Colorado 14 years ago I knew in my heart we would be back.” Transparency and consumer empowerment in the real estate industry is something we are very passionate about. We became REALTORS after encountering too many in this profession that fell short of our expectations…yes we will admit, we have very, very high expectations. When first starting in this business we promised ourselves that we would never enter into a real estate transaction that would make us want to duck and run when seeing a customer at the grocer. We continue to keep that promise today and everyday. Meet Jay Jay brings with him 30 years of experience in residential construction and remodeling. His first job was at the age of 13 helping his father build a passive solar, earth sheltered home. After attended 3 years of Aerospace Engineering College at Iowa State University, Jay left college and continued to work in construction. He opened his own company in 1992, Rosewoods Custom Woodworking, which eventual became Rosewoods Custom Kitchens, which he owned and operated until moving to Florida in 2000. It was at this time that Jay became full-time REALTORS helping others find their own dream homes and investment properties. Jay has personally owned and managed dozens of investment properties. He got his start as an investor buying and selling HUD and Fannie Mae owned properties. He has experience in “flipping” properties and has personally used the 1031 like-kind exchange to defer capital gains taxes. His experience can help you avoid some common mistakes. Meet Kristi Kristi has had the good fortune of being involved with all aspects of buying and selling Real Estate, assisting hundreds of satisfied customers purchase and sell everything from multi-million dollar, luxury homes and condos in exclusive communities to very affordable "bank owned foreclosure" and "short sale" properties. Kristi has been a Licensed Real Estate Agent and REALTOR for over 9 years and is an admitted technology geek. Currently Kristi is a licensed Real Estate Agent in Florida and a Licensed Real Estate Broker in Colorado with an extensive background in technology and social media advertising, which she believes to be the future of how real estate will be bought and sold.
