As a first time home buyer expert I am familiar with loan and down payment assistance programs that will be most beneficial for the client. I walk with the client through the process. I accompany clients to appointments with their loan officer, the appraisal and the home inspection. In doing this I hope to take the element of fear and the unsurety of what the step involves and how it impacts the process.

I also make sure the clients have a written profile of the steps to homeownership. It starts with their first inquiry and ends with getting the keys at the closing table. I want them to know when to expect things to happen and what will be required of them when it does. Did you know that most first time homebuyer's do not know you need money to buy a home? When  they hear 100% financing they think everything (including closing costs) are included.

My goal is to take the fear, questions and the fact that most new homebuyer's are unsure about when and what to buy. I try to make every encounter about them so they go home feeling positive, excited and happy about their new home prospect.

I never let a client go just because their credit score is low or they have no money in the bank, until they ask to be let go or we have exhausted all possibilities for that period of time. I then make an appointment to come back and revisit the homebuying process again.
