Get to Know Carol Lexa
As a native Northern Californian, my background in the wine business during the 80s and early 90s gave me a deep appreciation for the North Counties as the perfect environment to live and work. I walked vineyards and ambled through cellars, listening to viticulturalists and winemakers rhapsodize on the soils, climate, and natural beauty. I drove the freeways and backroads, selling the product of those vineyards, becoming fully engaged in the life of Sonoma County. Love for the natural beauty of the North Coast and a desire to preserve it led me to EcoBroker®. EcoBroker International's education and designation program is designed exclusively for real estate professionals who care about the environment and want to help their clients benefit from the energy-efficiency, "green," and healthier features of homes and buildings. EcoBroker provides a complete curriculum of energy and environmental training, which I enjoyed thoroughly. In mid-2008 I completed the Sonoma County based certification program EcoGreen Real Estate, broadening my understanding of local issues and efforts to minimize our impact on the environment, draw down energy demand and reduce water usage. The two certifications blend beautifully. As a real estate professional since 1998, first as an agent, then as an Associate Broker, my hallmarks are careful listening, developing an understanding of clients' motivations, and engaging fully in the process - I provide information, negotiate proficiently, and manage the details of each transaction with care. Although access to data is widely available, real estate is still a hands on profession.
