My work is focused on residential sales and purchases, as well as working with clients seeking or selling investment properties. My unique area of expertise is in green building, which includes being able to assess or emphasize energy saving and environmental benefits of existing properties. I serve both the north side of Chicago -from which I recently moved, and the North Shore where I was born, raised and now lives.
For over 20 years I served as a business strategist, helping fortune 100 to Not-for-profits grow and market their products. In 1991 I founded Catalyst Marketing Group. As a successful entrepreneur, I bring professionalism and exceptional analytic, marketing and sales skills to all my real estate customers. Towards this end, you can count on me to be thorough and communicative -providing you with timely data and value-added information so you can make informed decisions and take action immediately.
I am a certified Eco-Broker. This area of expertise furthers my "total service" approach to real estate marketing, by providing my clients with my knowledge and resources in energy conservation and sustainable choices. Being able to identify energy saving features in a home has the potential to save the future home owner real money.
Philosophically I believe that we all can make a difference in protecting our environment. I enjoy working with those willing to consider Green benefits who may not have before, to representing those seeking a property that is "very dark Green," which can go as far as building a green home in a Planned Sustainable Community.
My interests keep me very involved in my community. Currently I serve as Commissioner for the Lake County Affordable Housing Commission and Commissioner for the Highland Park Housing Commission. My years of volunteer work history includes serving as a juror for Chicago Public School's International Architectural Innovative School Design Competition, for which I received a Outstanding Service Award. In March 2005 I received a national Fain Social Action Award.
I am a member of the Assoc. of Energy & Environmental Real Estate Professionals, the North Shore & Barrington and National Assn of Realtors. I am a licensed Realtor proudly affiliated with Coldwell Banker Residential.
I hold a Liberal Arts Degree from Evergreen State College, took advanced studies in communications at Northwestern University, and studied economics and political science as a full fellow at Georgetown University.
