Get to Know Liz Dye
After going to the University of Montana in the Fine Arts program, I moved from Missoula to Seattle to study and earn adegree in Graphic Design and Advertising at The Art Institute of Seattle.  While I really enjoyed the pace and culture of Seattle, I realized that Missoula had the same things going on, albeit on a smaller scale. Coming home, I became more and more interested in learning about the history of my city.  I’ve spent hours in the Missoula and Mansfield library, examining historic photographs, looking up information on historic properties.  My time spent researching and exploring the area is invaluable when helping a client find the right home. Growing up in Missoula, I never thought I would become a Realtor©. When I first made a transition to real estate, I found myself in a profession that was in the middle of a major transformation.  I had the pleasure of never learning the"old ways" of doing things.  I never had to cold call or go door to door to advertise my services.  Instead, I tapped into the online resources I was already familiar with, and with my background in design and advertising, I found it easy and effective to advertise listings both online and on paper.  My experience and schooling in marketing are extremely helpful to my clients.I also spent seven years working in a local law firm as a legal secretary. Categorizing files and paperwork, typing up contracts and legal documents, really taught me a lot about the legal system and its language. Daily interactions with a variety of clients and personalities helped tremendously in the real estate world dealing with difficult buyers, stubborn sellers, and unresponsive lenders.  When I sell real estate, I use my education and experience.  But more importantly, I am driven by my passion for this city and the people who call it home. I am happy to say that I am not the average real estate agent - my experience and background is as diverse as the my clientele. This is something I am very proud of!
