A graduate of Long Island University, Irving Langer balances his work as a real estate executive with a commitment to his community and a successful career as an author. A longtime supporter of the larger Jewish community in New York, he serves as chairman of the board for Bais Medrash of Harborview and Yeshiva Tiferes Yisroel. He also serves as a board member and prominent supporter of Ohel Family Services, which recently opened the Irving and Miriam Langer Center for Developmental Disabilities at the organization’s Jaffa Family Campus.
Irving Langer also stands out as the author of The Kosher Grapevine: Exploring the World of Fine Wine, a book that offers an introduction to the world of wine while dispelling long-held myths about kosher wines. In addition to offering tips on wine tasting and understanding wine menus, the book examines the long history of wine in the Jewish tradition.
Professionally, Irving Langer has led real estate management firm E & M Associates for more than 45 years. Under his direction, E & M has expanded from a storefront operation on Flatbush Avenue in Brooklyn to a nationwide company that employees more than 300 workers and manages over 10,000 residential and commercial units across the country.
