I've just completed my first year as a REALTOR and I'm proud to say I work at Prudential John M. Brabham Real Estate.  Like me, this agency takes pride in doing things the right way the first time.  As a former educator, I spent time last year learning more about my new career by earning the Graduate, REALTOR Institute (GRI) and the Prudential e-Certified designations.  It has also been my pleasure to represent wonderful clients as either a buyer or seller in closed transactions that totalled nearly 1.5 million dollars.  Every house I listed has been sold during the original listing period for close to the asking price.  I enjoy working both sides of a transaction and relish the unique challenges each one brings.  I take pride in marketing a property in many ways for a seller and looking in several locations to find the right home for a buyer.

Sumter has been my family's home for nearly 25 years.  We came here when my husband, Rick, was hired as a Product Engineer at BD.  Our children were raised in the public schools, church groups, and recreational sports.  Even though they are both in college now, I've kept active in the community and I love to tell everyone how wonderful Sumter is as a family city.  Before starting my real estate career, I taught math at Sumter High School, volunteered at our church, Aldersgate United Methodist, served on PTA boards, and gave time to the community.  I still feel it's very important to support Sumter.  As the chair of the Main Street Society, a subcommittee of Downtown Sumter, I help recruit volunteers and private donations to continue to improve the appearance of the historical section of town.  It is also my honor to serve as an Ambassador for the Greater Sumter Chamber of Commerce.
