I was born in Iowa City. I know the territory, the history and all the intricate social connections that form its backbone.

I’m raising a family here and I have a stake in the community’s success. In my own humble way, as a father, dad and real-estate professional, I’m working to build a better future. To have a sense of place and a sense of service, as I do – that’s a powerful combination.

Since 1977 I have served clients in major and minor markets – from Tucson to El Paso, from Sacramento to Phoenix to my hometown of Iowa City. That’s why I have a unique understanding of real estate over the decades and across the country. I’ve worked on transactions ranging from $40,000 to $122 million. Each one received 100% of my dedication. If it’s important to you, it’s important to me.

Although I’ve enjoyed a great deal of success in this field, I never rest on my laurels. I’m continually pushing myself to learn more, to sharpen my skills and to reach the next level of excellence. That’s what makes life interesting – to see what we’re capable of.

I stand among an elite group of top commercial brokers in the United States because I hold two designations from the National Association of Realtors: a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) and a member of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR). Only a few commercial brokers in the nation have earned both of these distinctions. I’m proud to be among them.

These qualifications and experiences mean a lot to me, but this runs deeper than honors and acronyms. I’m not just a resume; I’m a guy who loves being a commercial broker. I wake up in the morning planning how to tackle the day’s tasks and retire at night reflecting on what we got done. It’s what makes me tick: working twice as hard, knowing twice as much, getting better results.
