| At an ex-co-worker’s urging, my husband and I first contacted Mike and Jennifer in June 2013 when we decided that time and three children had rendered our once-spacious townhome uncomfortably cramped. We desperately wanted to upgrade to a single family home with additional room and, preferably, a backyard. Though we temporarily abandoned new home aspirations when financing options became unrealistic, we remembered our brief experience with Mike and Jennifer as overwhelmingly positive. Then on Saturday, January 4, after we’d discovered some previously unexplored options that would afford us more flexibility, we stumbled across our would-be dream home on Zillow – and re-contacted Mike and Jennifer without hesitation. They both deftly reassumed their roles as our agents, helped us reactivate our prior loan approval, and submitted a competitive bid on our behalf for that dream property – all by Sunday night. Throughout our little-more-than one-month journey from single family home seekers to new dream home owners, Mike and Jennifer became our ever-present liaison, advisor, and tireless advocates, sharing and assuaging our anxiety while we anticipated bid acceptance, guiding us through the always harrowing/ lengthy loan approval process, assertively pressing forward with necessary inspections, identifying purchase maximizing opportunities, faultlessly reading the market, sincerely and proactively promoting our interests, and ultimately – making us feel – despite their busy schedules – that we were their top priority, their only clients. Their knowledge of the Northern Virginia community’s character, real estate assets, and property/process subject matter experts delved far beyond the superficial – their experience and professionalism shone at every turn when, for each of our needs, they unveiled a cadre of amazing industry connections – a fantastic general contractor, a skilled home appraiser, and an affordable radon remediation company they trusted with their own personal residences. Mike and Jennifer took on all aspects of the purchasing legwork, actively anticipating/responding to our needs during both business and non-business hours. Throughout the buying process, they combined professionalism/courtesy with down-to-earth amiability, doting on our toddler daughter and conducting impromptu meetings at our former residence while good-naturely fending off our (sometimes raucous) two boys. And after facilitating for us a remarkably bump-free new home purchase, they seamlessly switched hats from selling to listing agent, managing the sale of our existing property with just as much skill and alacrity. Though it would be many years in the future – we’re beyond ecstatic with our new home - we look forward to working with Mike and Jennifer when we’re again ready to take the home-purchasing plunge. Sold a SFH in Woodbridge 1/24/14 I had rented my home in Falls Church for a year and now needed to sell it. Mike and Jennifer did many walkthroughs, made suggestions and provided other individuals who could do the necessary clean ups without bankrupting me! Each time I contacted them both with concerns/questions, they were very calm and always provided the answers, all within a short time.
