Get to Know Jessica Skinner
I was born in Decatur, Illinois and settled in Athens in the fall of 1995. Ever since becoming a "townie" I have found a great interest in helping support the local community, including volunteering with the Athens County Free Tax Assistance Center as well as tutoring and mentoring through the TRIO program with Hocking College. I earned an Associates Degree in Computer Electronics and graduated Outstanding Graduate for highest cumulative GPA in my technology in June 2008. "Real Estate came about as a new 'twist' in life, but I am sincerely enjoying it. I love being able to be a part of the experience in locating the perfect house for a family. It is great to meet those individuals who are remaining in the community as well as the ones that have decided to start a new life here. Being that I have lived here for 14 years, I am well aware of the local community and how the area functions. I can offer support and guidance in locating a home, selling a home, or simply becoming more acquainted with the great benefits of Athens-living. I'm new to the market, but not new to the area. I have a lot to prove so you can expect me to work extremely hard for you." I am continuing my education at Ohio University to pursue a Bachelor's degree in the Engineering. "Ultimately my goal is to be able to offer new techniques in the field of Green Engineering, including structural building, modern energy techniques, and a simple "green" awareness or mentality., especially in the Athens area. This area is abundant in beautiful landscape and a great place to grow a family. I just want to see others succeed around me and be able to afford the home(s) they have or want. Everyone should feel in control of their own life, and I want to support others in achieving this."
