How does one do it? Make sure Your Agent Can Explain this to You--Priceless!
For a home seller, it maybe as easy as placing a sign on his property (not).
For a home buyer, it maybe as easy as driving by a home with a ''For Sale'' sign (never).
But what about:
Earnest Money, Real Estate Tax Proration, Title, Liens, Assessments and association fees, Plot of Survey, Encroachments, Drainage, Home Inspections, defects, mold, radon, termites, Property Insurance, Flood Insurance, Appraisals, Environmental issues, Leaseholds, Mortgage application, Truth in Lending, RESPA, TRIN,Legal Review, Homeowner Association rules, regulations, by-laws, declarations, reserve studies, financial statements, Deeds, Land Trust, Liens,Title Insurance, Agency closing. Jim is very knowledgeable in all things real estate, he knows and is well respected among everyone involved in the real estate transaction. You will recall that 1981 was a rotten time to sell a house, due to the high interest rates (CD's paying 20%) and Carter's destruction of the economy.
So when Dorothy and I decided to sell our house at 508 S, Ridge I asked the agent that I used to handle the 50 to 75 employee transfers GTE Directories made every year to give me the name of the best realtor serving Arlington Heights.
