I have been in the home inspection business since August,2004. My background is 35 years in engineering. I do a thorough inspection without "nit-picking", and deliver a deluxe report in a 3 ring binder with extras such as: 1) phone numbers for new comers that includes numbers for utilities, schools, emergency, etc.; 2) final walk through check list; 3) a copy of the standards I inspect to (ASHI); and 4) a "How to operate your home" booklet that explains how many of the components of a home work.

My goal is to deliver the report the same day as the inspection although due to schedule and distance, sometimes it is the next day. The reports can be e-mailed when necessary. Pictures are always included for areas of concern and make a strong effort to sit down with my clients to go through the report with them to be sure they understand what I saw. Clients and realtors are always welcome and encouraged to be present during the inspection whenever they can. I use that opportunity to explain how their new house works and any unusual characteristics. I do not charge for call backs.
