Baylor University Class of 1951, left before graduation when Korean War broke out, completed pilot training, flew F-86 Saberjets with 311th Fighter Bomber Sq and dumb enough to get into the Viet Nam conflict with the 388th Tactical Fighter Wing 1970-71. Ended up with 397 combat flying hours out of a total of some 7,500. Retired in 9/72 to Penryn, CA a small rural community 20 miles NE of Sacramento in the Sierra foothills. Received Real Estate license 10/72 and have been full time ever since.
I am fortunate to live in one of the most beautiful and family-friendly areas in the world. (And I know of what I speak having lived all over that world after 24 years in the USAF.) When I first got in this business I worked in the Sacramento area because that was where my company was. We had selected the Penryn - South Placer County area - for our own home because we wanted horse property for our five children. We were blessed because after 36 years on this property we have confirmed over and over again that there is simply no place like it. And I am doubly blessed, Joyce & I enjoyed anniversary #52 this year and she feels the same about Penry, Loomis & Newcastle as I do. The people are wonderful, schools are excellent, scenery is beautiful and the climate is to die for.
Real Estate choices here range from small cottages on postage stamp lots to mansions in gated communities and country homes on from one to 100+ acres. South Placer County is still a booming area of industrial and commercial development. And Penry is just about 85 miles from Lake Tahoe, 65 miles from skiing in the winter and trophy trout-fishing in the spring & summers. In the other direction San Francisco is only 110 miles away and the gold country is all around us.
Experienced in residential & rural homes, mini-ranches, bare land, parcel splits and subdivisions for clients as well as myself, sales of mobilehome parks, apartments, industrial sites and was General Partner in several limited partnerships involving apartments, bare land and one motel. Am settled in to residential & country homes as well as bare land sales, splits, etc. for clients.
