Get to know Kathy Byrnes

     Prior to starting my real estate career I spent over 20 years assisting clients as a Financial and Estate Planner.  I grew up surrounded by family members involved in the real estate industry.  My grandfather was a builder and developer, as was my father.  My mother was a very successful REALTOR in the Atlanta area.  When I moved to North Carolina in 2005 from Michigan I realized it was time to combine the skills I developed as a Financial Planner with the business I had been surrounded by my whole life. 

     I am fortunate to live on Lake Norman in a small cottage with my two dogs (Bruiser a Bull Dog and Kasey a King Charles Cavalier) in Mooresville. The truth be told, I feel like I have a little piece of heaven. Being from Michigan, I have always been around water and love it. I study all the older lakefront properties because they are the premium properties. There is a great deal to understand about buying waterfront properties in Lake Norman. You can count on me to guide you through the process.

     The market has been hit hard and that means a new understanding of how to help my clients. I have beefed up my education and training to address solutions. Many are suffering from being upside down on the their values or dealing with escalating ARM mortgage rates. Add to that the loss of employment or medical issues and there is a feeling of despair.There are options other than Foreclosure. I introduce those solutions and offer Hope. Read my testimonials to learn about one of those situations.  

I teach both Buyers and Sellers alike an alternative that is win win on how to purchase without the Low Ball Offer mentality. Working with my daughter Kelly who is a Mortgage Specialist with Fairway Mortgage NC  we illustrate a solution using a buy down option. This is a powerful tool for both the Seller as well as the Buyer.

I approach what I do with a passion for continuing my professional education, learning to effectively use cutting edge marketing tools, and always working with integrity, kindness and empathy for my clients personal situation.  My love of people and the real estate industry hopefully shows in my demeanor and commitment.
