Katie Sweet was born in Amsterdam, NY where her family were natives of Caroga Lake in the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains. At the age of three Katie along with her mother and sister moved to Port Orchard, WA. In 1987 after a devastating house fire the family moved to Arcadia in Southwest Florida to be closer to the grand parents. There Katie graduated from DeSoto County High School and South Florida Community College.
Katie worked in the Sod and Grass Plug industry for 7 years with a brief stint as a tractor trailer driver before moving to the Orlando, FL area. Upon moving to the Orlando area Katie obtained the position of Office Manager in the construction industry for a concrete company.
In 2007 Katie met her husband who owns a property management company. It was thru his encouragement that she pursued a real estate license to help his companies owners and guest with the purchase and sale of vacation homes. When the construction industry suffered in 2008 Katie decided to pursue Real Estate full time and has not looked back since.
Katie now resides in Kissimmee, FL along with her husband and daughter. Her office is located in Davenport, FL and she works with buyers and sellers throughout Lake, Polk, Orange and Osceola Counties. She enjoys helping first time home buyers find their dream homes, is knowledgeable about the in and outs of owning short term rental homes, and feels a sense of accomplishment when she can help owners with a distressed property situation.
