As a certified public accountant and former financial auditor, guiding people with their investments comes naturally to me. Real estate investing in particular has always captivated my attention. As a Realtor, I am able to blend that passion with my formal training to thoroughly inform my clients before they embark on this significant financial venture.

After vacationing in the area many times, I moved to Destin with my husband 25 years ago from Memphis where I was raised. At the time, all talk was about real estate. Prior to graduating from the University of West Florida with a degree in Accounting, I obtained my real estate license. The market in Destin was wide open then. An internship in internal auditing at Southern Company took us to Atlanta briefly before I began my accounting career at Ernst & Young in Tampa in the audit department.

After spending five years in Tampa, my husband and I began to miss the beaches and more laid-back lifestyle of Northwest Florida so returned to Destin where we have been ever since. I continued my career in auditing with a large, regional CPA firm, all the while investing in the real estate market.

I decided to leave public accounting and begin a full-time career in real estate, building on my audit and accounting clientele. Generally, the biggest investment someone makes in his or her life is in their home, and I wanted to be a part of that process, connecting buyers with properties that both meet their wants and needs, and ultimately prove to be a wise investment for them as well.
