My name is Laura Dodd and I have lived in the Atlanta area for 32 years. Before I chose real estate as my career, I worked in public relations for several non-profit agencies including the High Museum of Art and the Atlanta Symphony. During that time, I developed marketing and promotional skills and strategies that I use every day to promote my listings and to get them sold as quickly as possible for the highest profit to you. I also worked as an office manager in the construction industry which allowed me to understand homes from the ground up. Having bought and sold four homes of my own and worked with many home buyers and sellers, I understand both the practical and emotional side of buying and selling.
I have excellent negotiating skills that I use to get you the best price possible while also keeping the other party happy with the agreement. This allows everyone to leave the closing table knowing they got what they needed from the transaction.
I have helped buyers and sellers in Cherokee, Fulton, Dekalb, Cobb, Forsyth, Morgan, Banks and Gwinnett Counties. When you move into the Atlanta area or want to move from one area to another it is important to have an agent that has a "bigger picture" of Atlanta as a whole. Because, I have lived in the Atlanta area for 28 years and have lived or worked in Grant Park, Midtown, Candler Park, Decatur, Buckhead, Cumming, Alpharetta and Johns Creek. If you come to me as a Buyer saying you want to live in a certain area, I will listen closely so I will understand what has motivated you to choose that area. My job will then be to get you all the information you need to confirm your choice or refine your choice based on new information. My job as I see it is to help you find the area that is the right fit for you and your family and not try to fit you into an area that I choose.
If I am selling your home, I will use my knowledge to "sell" not only your home but the benefits of the area to the agents who bring Buyers or to the Buyers themselves. This is enhanced by my knowledge of what benefits your area may have over another area.
