Since I've lived in Pecan Grove Plantation since early 1980's, I have worked this area both in homes and land and seen phenominal growth! I am amazed that Pecan Grove will already be having a new middle school #14 that is being built on Plantation and Harlem, to open in 2011. Also the recent sports complex--Slatter's Sports Zone is wonderful for the students to have camps to attend. Travis High School, just down Harlem has been a great asset to Pecan Grove students from it's openning a couple years ago. As a long time resident here, I have come to know all the neighborhoods off FM 359, and those more recently developed off 99 Grand Prkwy like Waterside and Long Meadow Farms; toward Fulshear to the west and, Rosenberg toward the south. Developement in and around Katy has also been fun to keep up with. New schools for the Greatwood community have been fabulous and a long time coming.
